Power breathing —also known as cyclic controlled hyperventilation — is an advanced technique recommended for those interested in strengthening their immune system, as well as performance athletes and people doing cold-water therapy. But don't let the name, or that fact that it's considered an advanced practice, intimidate you. You can build up your practice over time, starting slow and working up to a longer, more powerful practice.
