No pain, no gain? That's not always the case. When it comes to sports, a lot of pain can mean a serious injury and the game needs to stop for you. However, if your injury is workable and you're ready to push through, visualize your breath going into the painful spot, while allowing any sensations to simply be there without resisting them. Do it for as long as you need to, and remember to be gentle with yourself.
