Self-hate can have many roots. One of them could be a way of protecting yourself from getting hurt by others. After all, if you hate yourself enough, nobody can hate you more than you do. This may strangely give you a sense of safety and control. This guided practice will help you understand that you never actually hate yourself. Instead, what you actually hate are the stories you have created in your head about you.
