Stop People-Pleasing
About this Class
Most of us want to be liked. But if we take this desire too far and find ourselves always saying yes to others when we would really like to say no, we may be falling into people-pleasing territory. When we're constantly trying to please others, giving more importance to their priorities than ours, we may end up feeling drained and resentful.
If you're trying to learn how to say no to others and stop feeling guilt and shame when you do so, this guided meditation will help you. Through a process of visualization and reflective questioning, you will go through different scenarios in your mind where you would like to say no, and see what it would feel like to actually do so. How does it feel to say yes to yourself and prioritize your needs?
Mindfulness teacher Palma Michel will gently guide you through this process so you can stop people-pleasing in your mind first, and then, slowly, take this practice into the real world.
