When you're overwhelmed with tasks, slowing down and learning to focus calmly on just one thing may be what you need.

The ability to multitask is seen as a badge of honor in our modern society. But multitasking is not really completely possible, as the mind can pay attention to only one thing at a time. When you're doing too many things at once, you're actually switching your focus a lot. After a while, this is a recipe for stress, exhaustion, and overload. Try this short practice to do the complete opposite: Slow down, rest your attention, and focus fully and effectively on one thing at a time.
