Envy hardens your heart, but this meditation will help you develop sympathetic joy and feel happy for others' success.

If you go on social media and feel overwhelmingly jealous of the picture-perfect lives you imagine others have, or if you are invaded by envy in any other scenario, this meditation will help transform these feelings into joy. The practice is based on the Buddhist quality of "mudita," or sympathetic joy. It is a concept that centers on taking joy in the success of others. If practiced daily, you may notice the hardness of your heart melting whenever you see someone else living a happy and successful life.
