At Qatar's First Vegan Café
I met with Ghanim Al-Sulaiti, the young Qatari entrepreneur passionate about promoting a plant-based lifestyle with Evergreen Organics, Qatar’s first full-vegan café chain.

My trip to Qatar has been spectacular to say the least. Sports apart, the lifestyle and hospitality has been impeccable. Qatar is also a full-fledged wellness destination, a perfect space to have a dialogue about healthy eating, sustainability, and veganism!

I met with Ghanim Al-Sulaiti, a young Qatari entrepreneur passionate about creating a positive impact on society by promoting a plant-based lifestyle. He founded Qatar’s first and only completely plant-based café — Evergreen Organics — in 2016. Each outlet of Evergreen Organics is decorated with a variety of plants to convey a “jungle vibe”. In our freewheeling conversation on food choices, creative needs, and effective processes needed to produce a thriving brand like — Evergreen Organics, the young serial entrepreneur also shared his personal drivers for promoting healthy living.

At Evergreen cafe, I tried their delicious bean & mushroom burgers, beet ravioli, avocado sushi, and tomato-avocado toast showed diverse influences from around the globe — fitting for an event like the World Cup — as well as some real culinary imagination.

I love eating this way. The vegetable and mushroom kingdoms offer infinite possibilities for combining delicious flavor and complete nutrition, and as this menu proves inspiration can be drawn from every culture. It also offers a variety of cold-pressed juices, breakfast bowls full of healthy fats and protein, plant-based burgers, and guilt-free desserts. What's not to love!
