Leah Cullis is a celebrated yoga expert, wholistic health coach, and published author of the book “Power Yoga: Strength, Sweat, and Spirit." She is also a seasoned facilitator with expertise in the realms of yoga, healing, and transformational programs. Cullis-Arvelo is passionate about inspiring and sharing yoga, health, and wellbeing, “I believe that mindfulness, movement, and nutrition are the keys to living a fulfilling and vibrant life,” Cullis-Arvelo says. Through immersive yoga and wellness programs, yoga teacher training, and classes, Cullis-Arvelo teaches the art of movement, intentional living, joy, and ease.
Cullis-Arvelo is the founder of the Empowered Yoga School and led yoga classes at the White House from 2009-2016 as part of a presidential initiative encouraging healthy and active living among children and families. Of her practice, she says "What’s most important to me as a teacher and student is to live the practice. To me, living the practice includes movement, mindset, relationships, language, food, creating sacred space, and connection to Spirit." Cullis-Arvelo is a dedicated lifelong learner, and her most important teachers right now are her two children, ages 2 and 4.
