Adam Erace is a cookbook author, restaurant critic, and food and travel writer whose work has appeared in publications like Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, and Fortune.
Evolving from a kid whose dinner plate was a no-vegetable, nothing-can-touch zone to an adventurous recipe developer and menu hunter, Adam writes about food and travel to connect with readers from cultures other than his own.
With more than two decades of writing creds, the highlight of his career was traveling on a feature assignment for Travel + Leisure during the pandemic in May 2021. With about three weeks’ notice (and a passport that was stuck in mid-renewal process), he went on to report on the ancient and layered culinary landscape of Istria, a gorgeous slice of northern Croatia that was, at times, also part of Italy, Yugoslavia and the Austro-Hungarian empire.
Winning awards for his work from the Association of Food Journalists, International Association of Culinary Professionals, New Jersey Press Association, and Pennsylvania Keystone Media Awards; Adam believes there is not a single dish that can’t be improved with lemon or miso.
Author of the Laurel and Palizzi Social Club cookbooks along with spirit-centric books such as The Cocktail Workshop and his upcoming Backcountry Cocktails: Wild Drinks for Civilized Places, he is a South Philadelphia native.
