Kasandra Jewall’s first forays into meditation were on the floor of a forest. While in school for dance and martial arts, she would sit among the trees and allow things to surface. From there, Jewall worked her way through many mindfulness practices, including awareness, yoga, and breathwork, but it wasn’t until several years later that she took her training deeper while attending a kundalini yoga class in Thailand.
“Afterward, I just sat there and all this stuff was swirling around,” she remembers. “There were a lot of things going on in my life, things that needed work. I was in the eye of the storm, and it was so profound and beautiful. I realized this was what I’d been looking for all these years.”
Since that initial revelation, Jewall has become a certified kundalini instructor with more than 30 years of advanced training in multiple styles of yoga, including vinyasa, yin, and hatha. She is also trained in craniosacral therapy and Shih Shui Kung. Jewall founded the Temple of Glow in 2018 and currently teaches yoga in British Columbia, Canada.
