David's Story

David Harshada Wagner has been helping people from all walks of life, all over the world for more than 25 years. His coaching ranges from 12-step recovery training to the Indian wisdom traditions of yoga, bhakti, Vedanta, and Tantric Shaivism. As a teacher, he draws not only from tradition and scripture but also from his decades of personal transformation and experience helping others find their authentic path to deep happiness.

Growing up in a small town in Middle America, Wagner was unhappy. Everyone in his family was checked out and suffering in their own way, and he found himself getting involved in drugs and alcohol at a young age. By the time he was 16 going on 17, he got sober — and in his recovery meetings, he was introduced to spiritual pathwork. That led him to meditation, which he explored through formal training in college, eventually deciding to forgo grad school and throw himself into spiritual training wholeheartedly. “In getting sober and finding that world of recovery, I discovered my calling, my vocation that I’ve been doing in different ways since then of helping other people to be happier and more free,” he says. “In doing that professionally, part of the contract is that I’m doing that for myself as well.”
