Rachel Webb
meditation teacher
In her early 20s, desperate for a solution to the suffering she felt, Rachel Webb began to meditate. She didn’t like it, but she stayed consistent in her practice because that’s what all the teachers said to do. Like magic, it started to work. “Over the past seven years, I’ve learned to tweak my meditations and how I approach them so that they are now moments of enjoyment in my life,” she says. “Once you get the results of meditation, you don’t want to stop.”
Now the co-director of Three Jewels, a meditation and yoga studio in New York City, Rachel has trained in yoga and mental health for more than a decade, and studied Tibetan Buddhism with the Asian Classics Institute. She is a peer coach for social workers using the motivational interviewing counseling technique and has several years of experience working with people diagnosed with serious mental illness to assist them in achieving wellness goals. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys writing fiction.
